Clinical medicine

demonstrated that some diseases and sub-clinical conditions could be conclusively associated with environmental exposures to toxic metals and some organic chemicals emitted by industries characteristic of this region.We developed a concept of the biological prophylaxis (BP) meaning a complex of methods aimed at the increase in the effectiveness of general and specific host s biological protective mechanisms. Based on theoretical premises, we propose a complex of notoriously innocuous bio-protectors with expected beneficial influence on toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of chemicals in combinations characteristic of a particular urban area. Then we test this complex on an animal experimental model of the combined toxicity of those chemicals. The BP complexes (BPC) proved effective in the animal experiments are subject to controlled field trials on restricted groups of children aged 4-7 under medical and laboratory supervision.

The hypothesis that chronic generalization parodontite is a part of system dystrophic process is put forward. For acknowledgement of the put forward hypothesis the analysis of morphological changes of an oral cavity and a brush at patients with сочетанными displays of dystrophic process is lead. Identity and an one-orientation of pathological changes is established. On the basis of the put forward and confirmed hypothesis the complex approach to treatment of patients of the given structure is offered.

The article presents data on ambient air pollution with priority chemicals from industrial emissions of the Ural aluminum industry and information about health of infants born from mothers living in the vicinity of aluminum plants. Reconstruction of the Ural Aluminum Plant has helped improve environmental conditions, which, in their turn, lead to the decrease in the incidence of pathologies of pregnancy and a significant improvement of neonatal health.
