The development of cognitive, intellectual and emotional activity of students of medical universities based on the discussion of the forms and methods of extracurricular work

The article summarizes the three-year experience of the organization of disputes on historical topics by teachers of the Ural State Medical University. The study considers the features, conditions and requirements for the debate among students of non-humanitarian universities, the place occupied by the debate, discussion, scientific dispute among the interactive forms of educational process in higher education. The article includes the analysis of the survey of students participating in the debates, which demonstrates a marked increase in their emotional and cognitive empathy and motivation to study the history of the Fatherland. In conclusion, the recommendations on the organization of discussions in non-humanitarian universities are given.
