Personal characteristics and child-parent relations as psychological factors of stigmatization of families raising a child with an atypical appearance

This article discusses issues related to public opinion and psychological factors of stigmatization of families with a child with atypical appearance. To psychological factors of stigma were identified as: parent-child relationships and personality characteristics of the parents. The role of public opinion on the psychological state of a family with a child with an atypical appearance is considered separately.
