The article presents an exhaustive theoretical study (without the author's inclusion) of the issue of interdisciplinary psychological, pedagogical and medical support of parents of families in which a child with atypical features of appearance is developing; the exceptional features of social attitudes towards such children and the conditions for the development of ostracism in "parent-child relations" are emphasized, the most effective method of correcting such conditions within social institutions is considered, and a variant of defining such interventions as "accompanied parenting" is proposed.
